Loop #30: Fragments
My first solo exhibition at Rotondes, a loop animation of 7 minutes, projected on top of the bar at the Buvette.
Fragments is an exploration of the flow of life, an introspective journey into small moments that form our perception of time and memory. It is about the sequence of everyday events, from enjoying a dinner with friends to contemplating birds chirping away. 32 short loops are chained together, creating a rhythmic composite of experiences. With this animation, I wanted to celebrate the mundane, and to highlight the beauty of seemingly common things. At the same time, the rhythm and repetition of the loops is a reflection of life’s underlying tempo, always beating.
